Our Story

Creative Children International School was established in 2003 to meet the needs of schooling for children with special needs in the Kuwaiti society. The focus was on delivering high quality academic education with adequate therapy services for disabled students. Initially we started with a varied range of disabilities moving to accommodating mostly students with learning difficulties. As more mainstream schools started offering inclusion to students with learning difficulties we continued with a focus on mild to moderate disabilities including Autism, ADHD, Mental Retardation & Developmental Delay.

When CCIS started, we had just 20 students. Over the years, we steadily grew to accommodate more than 160 boys and girls from ages 6–18. Our students remain with us until the age of 21, by which time they are ready to live relatively independent lives, continue their education or pursue vocational interests.

CCIS has qualified, dedicated and caring staff who take regular professional development courses and adopt new strategies to support learning and therapy. It is a vibrant and student centered environment.

The school has steadily optimized its facilities which include an indoor gym, dedicated therapy (speech occupational and physiotherapy) rooms, well equipped classrooms, a sensory room, library and a small outdoor play area. These are used to provide a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment for our students.

The CCIS management consistently works with under the guidelines of the Ministry of Education MOE) and Public Authority of the Disabled Association ( PADA) to provide the best education and therapeutic services to the community we serve.

We are proud to serve our students and welcome new families to our growing school to be a part of our ongoing story of a dynamic learning environment for the differently abled.
